Vantiv Configurations

Vantiv Configurations define what Vantiv account will be used when processing credit card transactions in the Point Of Sale. Setting up a Vantiv configuration will enable you to allow payments with various credit cards (eg. Visa, MasterCard, Discovery, American Express, …). After setting up this configuration, you should associate it with a Point Of Sale payment method.

By activating the Vantiv option from the PoS Settings,  OTX  will allow you to accept payments with a Vantiv payment terminal.

In order to create new Vantiv credentials, you can go to the Configuration menu of the module. Select the Vantiv Configuration option. As shown in the image above, using the Create button, you can set credentials.

Here, you can mention the Name of the Vantiv configuration, Merchant ID (ID of the merchant to authenticate him on the payment provider server), and Merchant Password in the corresponding fields. After creating credentials, you can associate this with a payment method in the Point of Sale module. For this, go to the Payment Methods option available under the Configuration menu and create a new payment method.

In the Use a Payment Terminal field, you can select the Vantiv option as the payment terminal. As soon as you select this option, you will get a new field to specify the Vantiv Credentials. The credential that we created earlier can be specified here. After configuring this, you will get the option Vantiv on your PoS interface while proceeding with the payment process.
